i was fine till they did an update overnight, now my ABB is disconnecting every 30mins. restarting my router and just the same crap.

@Aussie BB I live in Mickleham and I have been losing internet from 0000 hours for the past weeks. It used to be around 2030 to 2100 hours now it is midnight daily. What's happening?

Aussi broadband speeds are regularly down and we have learned to live with but since moving they are becoming worse. Telstra wi fi is also increasingly poor - someone suggested bopth networks are overloaded with rising population and can only get worse. Aussi prices are going up despite other providers offering more bandwidth and faster speeds tor less.

@Gra2960 We all dropped Optus, or as we call them Droptus. They told dad his cable internet was being cut off and he had to connect to NBN, NO EXTENSIONS. Dad connected with NBN through Aussie Broadband (lovely service), and Optus continued to bill dad, 2 months post disconnection date.

@ServicesGovAU ftr, I've sent my provider (Aussie Broadband) a detailed fault report so hopefully they'll be able to sort it out as I'd hate for anyone else to encounter the same issue, especially if they don't have the know how or equipment to troubleshoot the issue in the way I was able to ??‍♀️

So. No net at home. Check here, thousands saying there is an issue. Check the Aussie website “nope. All good here loyal customer”. Haven’t been connected for over 6+ hours and the phone line hangs up on you!!! Starting to look for a better option. Even my Aussie 5g back up is down!!!

As usual, another company that starts out good, gets a corporate mentality and scale up number of customers with all those glitzy ads on Tele and the service quality drops. Why do companies always have to chase more revenue/profits/profits/profits all the time. Have a small group of customer base, given them good service and your customer base with grow through word of mouth references.

100%. As a technician sent out to homes all the time to fix "internet" problems it almost always is an internal LAN/WLAN issue. I knew a custommer that switched ISP 3 times in the space of two months saying they were all crap. Turns out it was basically a so-so router in combination with 2"boosters". God I hate those things should be uninvented. Popped up a single Ubiquity Access Point and everything fixed.

I've been with them all in the past 20years. Aussie Broadband is the only one who stands by what they say, they never overpromise and underdeliver, they are realistic, especially about 'peak times'. I've been with ABB for 2 years, not a single dropout. I do use my own router, just due to my requirements at home, lots of devices and smart things. If you choose to buy hardware from ABB to make your life easier, make sure you do an 'audit' of how many devices you will connect. The internet is only as good as the network hardware that supports it. Local 'dropouts', as in you're losing Wi-Fi connectivity, rather than internet connection, could point to a much larger issue such as the router is overwhelmed or there is too much Wi-Fi interference and your router cannot deal with it.

That wouldn't surprise me. Most of the 'helpful' customer service workers wouldn't have a clue about anything unless they have a itemised list of things to check. My old home phone hasn't been fixed since February forcing me to use a crappy smart phone. Internet is far from perfect and so is AussieBB.

No service to sim, stuck on emergency calls only. I've ruled out my phone and both sim card slots as being the issue, it is an Aussie Broadband issue. I swear I've had more issues with Aussie BB than I have ever had with any other Australian telco.

Just got SMS stating ABB is down in GC and to check their outage page for updates. Outage page states "no outages. Eveything looks good!". Adequate.

Internet has been down for 24 hours plus. One minute response was, oh this was only reported recently. When I commented that I could not report last night as call center closed at 9 pm (I am in Perth) suddenly it would not have made any difference if reported earlier. Talk about changing the facts to what works for your.

How come our comments keep getting removed?

Internet has been down since this morning 11/07/2023 in Sydney. Have tried resetting the router, turning the opticomm and router on/off and the ethernet connection to opticomm as per ABB instruction, however, nothing has been resolved and ABB response to the problem is "everything looks fine on our end, we can't see any outage or issue with your connection" even though the app is showing I'm not connected and they're aware that my "internet" light is on red but as no outage has been confirmed on their end, they're "unable" to send out a technician or report to Opticomm as there's no evidence of internet not working. . . I've been with ABB for over a year and they're generally very good and customer service is better than most other providers, however, my experience with them today is absolutely appalling. (And I spoke with 2 different serve reps today)

It is NBNCo’s fault, stop being stupid and look up FTTN, you have Fibre to the Node, when Fibre to the Premises is available in your area call AB and ask them to upgrade you to that. Why you went out and bought a new modem for what is an NBNco infrastructure issue is beyond me.

You need to get the Fibre Upgrade to go from FTTN to FTTP when it is available in your area, that will fix the issue, it is out of their control, any provider you have will be the same.

Just about ready to ditch Aussie, plagued with problems for the last 8 months... I replaced my modem and it is still bad. They don't care, have placed tickets a few times with no result... they keep blaming NBNCo.

Aussie Broadband has been dropping out consistently for the last 6mths. When you pay a decent amount every month for unlimited and you work from home, it's becoming a client issue. Used to be a fantastic company - with Optus it's about as good as an unhealthy marriage where only the kids (customers) lose out.

Here at Engadine we lost connection to NBN this morning at 10:35 AM and still not restored. with all modern technology and NMS (Network Management Systems) that I used to sell in 2001 at Fluke Networks, nothing is reported almost anywhere? Are we kidding ourselves? A wooden post at Buckle Avenue is the problem. I walked towards there 2 hours ago and that is how I found the drama. Some people do not have power either and suspect that is why the NBN is down as amplifiers need power and is a BUS structure, somehow. Incredible that no one knows anything.
