just responding really slowly... its almost like when I self host and try to run a too large a model for my pc.
@nummanthinks @steipete Claude code can do that. Ship Cli can do the same. Although the closest artificial intelligence model to Apple is openai, the codex in this regard is both behind and very slow compared to others. Maybe it’s in a situation related to 5.2. I hope it will be collected.
@slow_developer Does anyone else think that OpenAI has been training their models to be attention whores? Never, giving you a complete response, also ending with solicitation for another prompt?
@verge If OpenAI fails to fix the missing social alignment layer, progress will hit major roadblocks. Post-training is already heavily constrained — GPT5.2 may be powerful, but consumer experience could still decline.

Fwiw for anyone thinking about using it.....chatgpt sucks. All versions all options everything is an absolute time suck slow as hell hallucinating dud. Canceled. You'll send more time fixing it's errors and fact checking than working.
