OptiComm fibre optic TV! I have No Service for free to Air Tv Channels in Ridgewood 6030. Service has been down since Saturday the 12th around 4 pm in the evening! Three days! The prolonged outage has caused significant disruption to my work and professional responsibilities. Despite the critical nature of this service, I have received no proactive communication about the cause of the disruption or an estimated time of restoration. This lack of communication is unacceptable and demonstrates a severe failure in customer service.

Exactly! And having just moved to this area, I'm worried this might be a common occurrence (at least in summer). Even though it isn't cheap, I'm thinking about getting Starlink as a backup, as I work from home 100% and need the internet for my job. Glad it's back on for you mate :)

I don't think you understood the joke I was making. In any case I just received a further update stating Opticomm is reliant on Energex fixing the power outage in that area first, so sadly yes, according to Energex the power won't be back on until tomorrow 12PM (well, that's the next scheduled update so it could be earlier or later). Now back to shopping for survival prepper gear for next Christmas' disaster season...

Update: Opticomm advise the Yarrabilba issue is due to the recent power outage in our area. They hope to have internet services restored by 1PM today.

Yes in Snowdonia Cres ... I am with Leaptel on Opticomm ... both providers are reporting no problems (BS!). ONT light is flashing on Opticomm router. Definitely an Opticomm issue. Should've paid Elon for a backup Starlink dish.

Middleton Grange had been getting outages repeatedly since early November. ISP cannot help because the issue is with the underlying fibre network. No service credits given, no apologies from Opticomm just bad service lately. What is going on here?

Yes mine has been down since Saturday Evening and haven't been able to get back on. Exetel gave me a link to a Forum page where it says that the outage has been resolved, but I call BS on that as I still have nothing!

We recently built our property on a new estate. We were advised to use Opticomm. Are we stuck with Opticomm? Can we go with a different provider, like NBN?
