I stopped when it was obvious that there was actually going to be a redemption arc for the rapist. My stomach is turning. It isnt even the worst thing ive ever stumbled across on AO3 either. Just had to say this somewhere, my friends are too normal for this kinda thing.

@jingyu_aw I was trying for almost three days, at first they had the cookies wrong, then I just skipped the Manyredirectios error. According to that error, it is because the pages of Ao3 are saturated, so I was trying at different times.

@the8musique it's okay honestly, i get enough daily mobile data and can still use ao3 with no problem so it's fine? also idk how exactly you block sites on a wifi connection but the concept of my uni IT dept knowing about ao3 as a site and having to block it, is insanely funny to me ???

@riddlepngs I was genuinely devastated when AO3 stopped working on the 3DS browser app. I’d preload long fics on it while I was somewhere with wifi, close my 3DS, and read the fic at home (didn’t have wifi at home growing up or a phone until junior year)

@eatingcroutons site navigation is a matter of access. the entire site navigation of ao3 is based on their tag system. the tag system is not the basis of every archive, but it is for ao3.

my 2 cents is that there’s issues with the ao3 tagging system and plenty of authors undertag, but t/b dynamic are just about the least important of these issues

Yes you should tag your works properly on ao3 so that the filter system works that is common courtesy but you shouldnt??? Kick people out of fandoms??? For putting the names in the wrong order when they tag the ship???

@ghostmyam Almost any company offering auto translations suffers from the mix up of pronouns. I used to auto translate ao3 from Chinese it ends up having consistent problems with identifying any gender markers whether in relation to title (ms from Mr) or in main notice, pronouns

@narlie_buddie i don’t use docs anymore but i use ellipsus! it’s created by writers and is anti ai! there’s an export to ao3 option that copies your fic and adds the html for you when you paste it to ao3!

@crushingtin @wwxwashere yeah so the final bookmark was actually reached some time *before* maintenance, so ao3 disabled bookmarks briefly while trying to migrate . Attempts to migrate failed because there were (essentially) too many people on the site, hence, maintenance to reduce load for migration

still hate the idea of 'just filter it out' for ao3. buddy by your logic, you have to do that every time. or redo a site bookmark everytime they decide to 'fix issues' for 7 hours, gaining 2 million dollars each time.
