@lcwhitlock14 @Bird36640180 I don't recall Ocean Beach being an issue in 1989 quake either, only areas in the Marina that had been constructed upon water that was filled in with debris, maybe even the debris from the '06 quake, who knows. Anyway, sand shifts but does not liquefy in a quake.

there's upsides obviously, this being a quake port i can work with the same art tools more or less that i enjoy working with, and the end result of that work sits closer to my own vision for the art direction in my games.

@MuTeX For anyone reading further and as an anecdote: My son and I still occasionally play Quake 3 Arena. You shoot, you hit or don't based on an understandable mechanic. It's refreshing. Nearly the same for Fortnite as well, excepting build-edit-shoot lag/phasing issues.

@RealBasedBrit @JMW5424 I also live within 100 meters of the sea. I have around 30.000 litres of water in double water tanks, but now that you've brought up the subject, the tanks could be damaged by earthquakes but if the quake is that powerful the tanks will be the least of the problems.

@AgreeContrarian @Lanefab Why isn’t the fire sprinkler system working? Do you know the failure rate on them… it’s less then a 1/2 of a %. If the stairwell is blocked from the earth quake(one of the strongest part of the building then it’s over anyways)
