Since its existence, Spotify has been a trusted app with a rather humble reputation in providing immersive music experiences, podcasts and background noises. It was an enjoyable time in which there were no interuptions whatsoever, 100% accessibility to songs and seemless tracks. Spotify is used by millions, if not billions globally by people everyday for regulating moodswings or even simply excercising. Yet, here we are today. Ads now bombard our songs after every 5 minutes; the ad count has increased to 4 ads sometimes per song. Spotify now wants us, in fact it is trying to force us into paying money for premium, making many people suffer ad fatigue for its own gain. And it cannot even regulate its own servers now. Spotify asks: "What causes even more pain than bombarding people with ads, limiting what songs you are allowed to play and how long you can choose them for? Oh, I know. Lets completely shut down the server. Stop all websites and the apps. HAHAHA!" Unfortunately, we find ourselves in this situation today. A matter that may be resolved by tomorrow but still causes inconviniences today. Then, you may ask yourself: Why use spotify if it capitalizes over its customers so harshly? Whose to say we should even continue using spotify? Then, we come to another major problem. Reliability. There are other music platforms, but naturally, despite its harshness, spotify still seems more accessible despite all its problems. In conclusion, we need either one of 2 distinct solutions. Either, spotify fixes its issues and we keep using it, or developers need to create a new seemless free music streaming platform where we can actually pick our own songs.
