Steam store down, oddly enough, it caused launch issues with L4D2 where the game just flat-out wasn't launching (even in offline mode), only resolved by restarting PC completely. L4D2 launches now and it only appears to be the steam storefront that's down.

Yep, tried all sorts to fix it as well. Only thing that works is to change the download server to Paris but you won't get your full speeds, just miles better...

got this from reddit: I know it’s not the most ideal solution, but what you can do is fully close Steam and then go to this file: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\loginusers.vdf” and open it with notepad. You will see a database of all Steam users on your computer. Find your user, and change the value under “WantsOfflineMode” from 0 to 1. Should work until they bring the option back!

Showing symptoms of a possible DDoS attack, I reckon. Servers come back but intermittently. Also, it's Christmas Eve and in the middle of the Steam sale, perfect time to launch an attack.

If anyone in the UK is having difficulty with downloads being really slow, try switching servers in settings, downloads. Try Netherlands, France, Germany or Switzerland. I was getting 3mbps from the UK servers, but when I switched it went up to 700mbps.

When I have OBS up, my webcam works just fine. The moment I boot up any steam game, like Ultimate Chicken Horse or even Stream Avatars, my camera starts to glitch. Even when I do NOT have OBS up and use Logitech G Hub, same thing: Camera is fine until I boot up a steam game.

@AstroMarcin @Pirat_Nation depends of the game, if it depends of online servers of steam gog and epic, bye bye game. if it doesnt, the launcher will act like its offline since it doesnt receive signals from the servers, so, you get to keep your game
