Also the phone rings WAYYY too often in the Sims 2 Legacy Edition. I had both standard base with some expansions PLUS Ultimate Collection, but in Legacy Edition the phone is CONSTANTLY ringing for hours, multiple times a day. Please patch this. Its so annoying. -
has anyone found a sucessful solution to the sims 2 "direct X InvalidCall" error when trying to load a family after the new update? I had no issues before the update and now my game is unplayable ? -

@sarahrune_ Maybe you need some player made patches, since there haven’t been updates some players fixed it instead, Ik they did the same with the sims 3. I am curious where you got that though? Did you download it from a website or buy it from the company? With the sims issues are endless? -

The only bug I’ve ran into so far on the sims 2 rerelease is crashing when I changed the windows settings and the dine out system not working (but that’s normal for a sims game this is shade for sims 4 ) -

@camissilia @lowpolypancake It won't in modern systems. The Sims 2 uses DirectSound as API between the game and your sound card/chip. Since DirectSound doesn't exist anymore, the API will be emulated, leading to many, many issues. -
The Sims 1 re-release doesn't work despite everything, so I just have to hope for an update to fix it -
@truestorygrande @TheSims if you have a nvidia gpu it might need an update. some people seem to be having issues with opening the sims 1 because off it. it runs fine for me on a 40 series gpu a friend off mine is on a 30 series gpu and has some issues but has been able to open it. -

Well, we had a grand few hours enjoying the sims 1 before it crashed. I took that as a sign and booted up sims 2, made a sim, bought a lot, and… crashed. Brought it back up, tried again, crashed again. @TheSimsDirect can Y’all advise on this? I can’t move a sim into a lot! -
@pheemia @Crosimmer I heard the same, but it doesn't seem to be effecting all nvidia gpu's, a friend off mine uses a nvidia card had the same issue with the sims 1. I have a nividia card as well but the game booted up without issue (I did update the gpu before hand which might have helped)

@onlyabidoang I friend off mine fixed the issue by going off their gpu and running it through another graphics card. It might also help to update the gpu if people can, I know I have updated it during downloading the sims 1 and 2, it might be why I am not having issues. (2-2)

For sims people: I’ll share the 2 main pieces of cc that allowed me to recreate Midas in the sims. The body and hair were most important, the rest was just trial and error with random bits of cc and such -

No shade to Sims 2, the devs did an incredible job considering they were using an engine that was never designed for such a complicated Life Sim (the Sims 1 engine) but the denial of any flaws or issues with the game despite countless reports all over the net is unhelpful. -

@traceyannereid Same. I went back to the Sims 3 on Xbox because it was super unreliable and now it’s so much better. The weather bug is annoying but nothing that can’t be fixed. Many of the issues couldn’t even be fixed by modders, they were so deep rooted.

I’ve notice a glitch in The Sims 3 since the update. My Sim will randomly disappear, like be invisible and then when I do the resetsim, they reset but it takes a minute for them to reset. Then when they do it cancels out the action for the other sim……. -

I think that it is what it is, just an update so that it works on newer systems. At least they're doing that for 3. It's a shame that they don't go back and sort out the Sims 2. People have problems running that game too. -
What the heck happened to the sims 4 menu. It went from a little weird but functional to the most disorganised,unusable, offensively coloured and can’t be ultra wide. -

@edmattyx You don’t need a backpack. You just need a second phone download a sim bonding app like speedify then when you go to new country buy multiple sims from different providers and the app will bond the sims together and then hotspot that connection to your streaming phone. -
