@MachinGon2 @FSAPOJake I go into desktop mode when I need to, to setup emulation, or something, but most of the time, its just in console mode. As long as you get your games from Steam, you never have to touch the desktop mode, just connect 4-5 controllers and enjoy offline multiplayer.

The PS5 you could use day one without an internet connection too. You're downplaying a real issue (the requirement of being online to setup) because it's Nintendo

@JeffThreat @TRIPSTER0 If you played on xbox 360 if your partition 1 and 2 is lost well backwards compatibility is gone. This same issue applies to the switch and ps5/xbox1. Since, Nintendo can brick the switch2. An pcs/ steam deck can emulate switch games better then nintendo for less money.

@novelezra @KirPinkFury PS5 required a day one patch, the slim required you to register the external disk drive online before you could use it. Xbox series still doesn’t let you setup without an internet connection. The steam deck actually also can’t be setup offline.

@ConanExiles My problem is with the co-op service. Before, I would simply open it and invite the other player to join, but now the other player receives the invitation, either through the game or Steam, and gets stuck in the menu on “Attempting to join game” until it gives an error.

@Res_Renzo Delfinovin if unfamiliar makes GCC adapters change to Xbox controller inputs (Xinput) and basically fixes any issues the game seems to have with native GCC controllers in regards to steam input. (This seems to break the input system for other controllers when off)

@GobitVrc The random audio delay is an intermittent and recurring issue with Virtual Desktop that still hasn’t been fixed for quite a while now, it mainly affects VRChat, so I use Steam Link for VRChat and VD in the rare occasion I play a VR game. It’s not ideal but until VD figures out

@DeekeTweak It is not much different from what is happening on PC today. Steam runs on Windows, but MS has its comeback in terms of circulation despite the fact that the MS Store is totally snubbed by everyone. If this works on PC why wouldn't it work on Xbox produced by a third party?

@DudeManSir @ordinary__u Playstation runs great and you can have HDR. From what I've heard steam deck is also great and HDR access too, Xbox are having some issues and switch gets delayed updates and no word on performance yet since it releases later today on that platform

@wccftech If Steam games don’t give Xbox seperate achievement lists for games that weren’t on Xbox before, Xbox console and sites like trueachievements have additional million games to having Xbox achievements in update. Xbox then havs 2nd achievements tab for Steam achievements in Xbox.

@KG971_Dev I think I found the solution, at least it works for me, for those for whom it doesn't work either: launch the game with steam in offline mode (so that the game does not connect to the 2K servers)

@JimoarGaming @HazzadorGamin Free online gaming, bigger library, can use your library on more platforms(for now atleast), cheaper games. Why would anyone buy on xbox/microsoft store instead of steam? I still can't see the benefits of this for microsoft.

@Steam has to be the worst platform for PC gaming. There isn't a single day that goes by that something doesn't crash, disconnect, or have some other glitch. It's pathetic.

@RoughGamer1 @Pilestedt It’s a Sony issue, AH can’t do anything. The PSN isn’t a thing since they no longer require it. So it is totally on Sony and or Steam to update and allow it since the PSN is no longer needed/optional.

Devs skipping the Xbox console and PC store front entirely because steam is already done. Why make a port and go through MS certification

@DeekeTweak More than likely Microsoft is still going to get a cut of every sale on Steam’s Xbox store. It could also benefit them with regard to games skipping their platform depending on how the system works.

Dear @Steam, Patching an 70 MB update for Helldivers took 4 hours. Can you please add a option to choose or prioritize Steam libraries for patching updates so Steamapp never decides to use largest drive (in this game my HDD) in my system? It's been many years. Please fix.

to clarify: opening the game from the mod manager loads the game with working mods but my controller doesn't work. opening the game from steam allows my controller to work, but the mods don't work.
