@tanothaniel ao3 has its issues but losing that would be one of the worst things to happen for archival in history. servers cost to run. i donate to charity somewhat frequently, and i haven’t donated to ao3 before, but they’re both completely different topics to be addressed separately

@Atotalbummerr @peepeeniz I know this is always a very contentious time but I think people misunderstand how expensive it is to run a website. Server maintenance for how much data AO3 is processing is not cheap considering the amount of DDOS attacks they battle.
