@joffemd @TechCrunch But some of the routes are likely to be subsidized as well (since you cannot just go on constantly killing routes affecting customer trust) and Uber users will be paying a de facto consumption tax for this. It’s not greatly different in essence.

@1TrophyWife1 @LaInaMinute Tons of people just take Uber/Lyft when needed, supplementing with Metro & bicycles & whatever else, and it ends up being cheaper than dealing with a car payment, insurance, parking, maintenance and gas. If you work remote or can use metro for your commute it's definitely doable
