@YOOOODAAAA I always wondered: is performance not a issue when the db is not colocated with the server: DB is on aws rds or supabase for example and Phoenix apps are on Linode or DigitalOcean

@zhoro_x I wouldn’t count on reliability either, we had a lot of connection issues with the servers, we end up moving to AWS, no connection issues since then ;)
On another project, I stepped in with my agency It was a zombie web3 gaming platform from the '17 ICO boom. It had: - bloated AWS Infra - broken CI/CD pipelines - outdated libs and FE - 1 active game - few DAU.
@levelsio AWS keeps multiple replicas of your S3 data so the chances of “user error” are much higher than AWS losing your data. If backed up data doesn’t require frequent access, you could backup it up to S3 Glacier
