Having the strangest Mac problem at the moment. It started when mail unexpectedly stopped loading images and then I started getting issues loading web pages in safari as it said iCloud private relay couldn’t be reached. (Thread)

I don't have time to wipe it all off again and test it but I wanted to have the latest version working which it does now. Looks like possibly the neu-UK secret encryption struggle with Apple might not only be about iCloud but also about meddling in dns user 'affordance'

@mikeysmith He lied. That’s not slapping anyone down. But I can almost guarantee you Vance slapped Starmer down during that luncheon. The Apple ICloud issue would have been raised again, because it’s an American company.

@cparkin2015 @LeeAndersonMP_ It’s true. Now I have to change back to paper banking.Remove banking app. Remove all card details from sites. Download my iCloud to my lappy , disconnect from wifi. Use WhatsApp only. Grumble

@TheNorfolkLion It is only Icloud that is the problem, remove all icloud permission from your phone and it will be secure again.Icloud is the backdoor.

@datadev01 @RupertLowe10 It’s still encrypted just it can now be decrypted by Apple if they receive a court order / warrant to provide a persons iCloud data.

@darrengrimes_ WRONG. Apple has not created a back door into iPhones. It has dropped Advanced Data Protection for users of iCloud for data storage. Standard encryption is still in place and there are plenty of other options.
