I’m having a similar problem. In and out of SOS mode, bars with no service, then occasionally it will work. Called and got the Phillipines. They issued new eSIM , no change. Now waiting on “escalated” ticket.

so I upgraded to the iPhone 18 pro max, it came today went to att to do the switch same thing stuck on activating, they troubleshooted it, reset phone did everything just stuck on SOS mode... was told day one launch servers are messed up

Att wireless stuck in SOS mode at home when I generally have service just fine and get told no outage in the area and go through all the troubleshooting steps updates and resets for nothing! Wonderful way to start off new contract should have stayed with Verizon at this rate. Western NC 28721

Seminole FL, our unlimited AT&T mobile internet data, has been totally useless since Mon. 9/14 at our home and part of the neighborhood, unless using WI-FI in our home only. Once outside our area, it’s okay. This has never been an issue before. On 9/14 after talking to support and disconnecting, my phone went to sos. Drove to work with no service on 9/15. Called support from work and the automated service pinged the phone back to 5G, but still no internet data back in my home region. AT&T keeps insisting there is no outage on their map, and no one can give us a straight answer, plus it is time-consuming and frustration to even talk to someone and to only have them make the situation worse. Not transparent about what is actually going on. And reading the comments, this seems widespread.

This seems to be the most likely case. Started having issues with slow websites (seems to be ones that use cloudflare) while other sites are fine. Turning on a VPN clears issues for the most part for now.

Internet down in Athens, Georgia. The AT&T smart home app's troubleshooting service is absolutely useless. Since most outages are from an external source, telling me you can't ping the gateway is quite stupid. You'd think in 2026 they'd have a way of grouping an aggregate of outages and generating a better AI response in the chat bot (and informing the central location of the problem) but clearly they were too busy trying to replace the humans on customer service than to implement more thoughtful error detection.

Despite being in a densely developed area surrounded by highways, I can drive in any direction from my house and will lose data service for half the ride. When I shop along Maple Avenue with hundreds of people in their cars, I have little or no service. Is my service problem about all the highways with people stuck in their cars using their phones? I can hardly find an ATT tower. Verizon and T Mobile are everywhere.

AT&T Fiber internet down in Aubrey, TX. Down since yesterday around 3:30 PM. Had a scheduled technician that was suppose to show up today between 12 PM - 4 PM. The technician no showed. Rescheduled technician for Sept. 10, between 12 PM - 4 PM. AT&T app says no outages in my area, but it seems that a lot of people are still having issues based on the discussion comments. Neighbors with AT&T say their internet is working. Not getting any answers. Will wait for the technician on Thursday. Hopefully, they show up! 🙏
