While that is true. The advantage to a decentralized network is it can be moved very easily to a new server.

I can totally see why Mastadon / the Fediverse didn’t catch on for more average users. W/ BlueSky I’m confident everything is working and I automatically know where stuff is. W/ Mastadon… I’m not really sure it’s all working right… Skill issue on my part tho ?‍♂️

Bluesky, the “decentralized” social network built on AT Protocol, went down for an hour despite being designed specifically not to. The outage was due to "major PDS networking problems". Folks on Mastodon were quite amused.

Argh, mistyped. In March we “spring forward into daylight saving time,” so Eastern US time is EDT in the summer. In November (I think) we “fall back into standard time” so it’s EST in the winter.
