@LongTimeNoSiege @Maliykus There is an actually badly designed aspect here and it's the coop, because it works on the same rules as back in Dark Souls and everything else. Despite giant world, you still have zone seperations and have to play game twice. That's a much bigger issue here.

@Itsdoomgoy93 @ForgSolaris But this engine's advancements did lead to Bloodborne's development, which also has all kinds of problems of its own. Genuinely peak fromslop gameplay though. There is nothing obscure or confusing. It's straightforward hit and don't get hit. Dark Souls perfected. Ds3 bad though

it's so funny how everyone else has difficulties with bosses in dark souls i had problems with Aldrich who isn't known in the community to be hard whereas i managed Nameless king 2nd try and who is known to be one of the hardest bosses in dark souls because of the camera too

The formula for successful art is always a blend of both "reactionary" + "progressive" elements. Usually, some degree of surface level hedonism works as the hook but the world building or narrative itself is deeply reactionary. K-On Dark Souls Strict LW or RW "art" doesn't work.

@TentacleMistre1 @00oSamio00 It's because the parry mechanic itself works differently, it's fairly similar to the parry dagger in Dark Souls. You don't parry when an attack is about to connect with you, you parry just before it, as the parry animation is a wind up.

DSP’s Dark Souls mod issues were because he wasn’t running in 4k. The description says that had he have read it that it only runs at native resolution.

@PiggyKropotkinn @rmdyGG from a technical standpoint fromsoft are horrible devs, optimization and graphics are subpar(cancelled out due to godtier art direction) and they have a history of abandoning their games instead of fixing their problems, for every dark souls you'll find mods that fix stuff

@lolcohol I've had no issues server or latency wise after the initial teething problems, game runs smooth as hell But personally I found the difficulty to be just a tad too punishing early on. Against bosses it's great, you get a checkpoint and you can game them out Dark Souls style...

@Deshrasden I've been using my xbox series S controller that I use with the actual series console on my Linux setup and it generally works fine. I use it to play Dark souls 2/action games and all my emulated games and it usually doesn't have issues
