The anthuratiation log in error had me struggle just to get into my account, had to refresh the page just to get it to work. I think it's related to CloudFlare having crashes again on the 20th this month, effecting other websites using its protection.

No, I've lost a lot a lot of people as of late. Like I went from getting a hundred favs and follows for every new story to only a third of that as of late. Besides honestly I feel like I should have been transferring my work to there for some time since they are more organized.

honestly, you could be partially right about the problems coming from bug fixes and new website updates. but, just as likely reason: old or unstable servers; it could a combination of the two, or a lack of developers to manage certain things, or a variety of other reasons! large websites like these are tricky like that, i fear (this is also why it can take so long to get them back up and running again; figuring out which tiny cog or screw is slowing the whole machine down is like finding a needle in an electric haystack)

to be honest, and this is more of a personal thing, all that matters to me is being able to read stories. website functionality >> website aesthetics IMO. if they were going down hard, they'd probably take the site offline, so you'd get a blank page or 504 instead of just cloudflare. fingers crossed they fix this quickly!!! don't wanna jinx it

Well, they're just investigating at the moment, and last month it took three days before it came back online. This time I think it's gonna take longer even after they just fixed the categories error that merged/duplicated and just yesterday that stats were slowly coming back to normal. Even if they do fix it, this may delay the preview of the new website they mentioned last week.

i dont think there will be a loss of data or stories, unless you were- for some reason- writing one inside the website when it went down. maybe if you favourited something just as it went down, that wouldn't be saved either? but, other than that, the site's probably just going to be a bit laggy. if it was something more major, we'd get an announcement regarding that.

It worked fine for me yesterday before I went to bed. Maybe it's a repeat of what happened last year with the new rules only this time both Fanfiction website and app are shut down for good and the admins will never get it back and all of the data gonna be transferred to the new website are now all gone for good.

They mentioned on their X feed last week that they were preparing to roll out a BETA preview of their new website this month. I don't know if this interruption is connected to that - it prob is. DNS propagation map shows several but not all FFN servers offline. I can now get o the home landing page again but not my account or ANY navigation. Site just hangs. if they're migrating servers or on top of the problem, hopefully it will be up shortly (few hours?). I just wish they communicated better.
