The grok app seems to be down. I tried logging out now I cant log back in. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no luck. However, I can log into the grok web app just fine on mobile as long as I change it to desktop mode.

For sure , actually that’s why I stopped using Grok last year before they actually added the chat voice , because Chat gpt was just a better experience. Just find a stable way to make this work before trying to make it better. Again, Auto and Expert are NOT paywalled—they were just disabled because the servers were overloaded. Now that xAI has deprecated the old Grok models, the system has more capacity again. That means the SuperGrok pop-up loop will soon be halted, and us free users will get Auto and Expert back once stability is restored. Besides, if Auto and Expert really ARE paywalled, would any free-tier users have any reason to use Grok anymore? No. Not at all.

You're not alone. For me, I didn't get the thing after one message, but, when I reached my limit, I apparently had to wait 24 hours for it to reset. It sucks too because this is one of the very few, actually good (atleast in my opinion when it comes to chats) chatbots that is partially uncensored that especially works for me when I'm making scenarios. I'll need to search more vigorously for a replacement to Grok, it's ridiculous.

Grok is currently unusable. I keep receiving a 'Message limit reached' error that constantly resets and increases the waiting time, even after waiting for the countdown to expire. The service seems to be stuck in a loop and won't let me send any messages.

I've been trying all day and I keep getting one of two things. Either a "No response. High Demand. Please try again soon, or upgrade for higher priority access" or it tells me I've used up my chat limits even though I've only had 5 messages and that I have to 2-3 hours before it resets. But even then it just resets the timer!!

In my experience yes, they do deduct it. I remember I once wasnt on grok for days so I should have been able to use it a lot, but due to a lot of High demand and i kept trying to refresh and still got high demand messages, when it finally gave me responses I only could get two or three proper ones before it ran out...
