Worthless company with excuses vs results per usual. Our internet has been out for 24 hours and every hour it updates to be back on later and later. Their customer service is a joke. It's time to switch to Starlink and not have these issues any longer. The price is the same for 1 gig service!

Funny how mediacom fixes its internet issue ive been having since last month and had no problems for 2-3 weeks, only for it to throttle the upload speed again. Not only am i not surprised, but im finding it funny how this internet provider was fine through out the thunderstorm but one break in the storm and its suddenly breaking? Convenient.

Mediacom is extremely slow and nearly impossible to get online at all the past few weeks. I have barely been able to stream YouTube and can't get much of anything done online at all and I rely on being able to work online and have been unable to get work done the past few weeks because every time I try to get online it will say that I have either no Internet or limited connectivity and this is getting very frustrating because why are we paying for Internet if it is not working. They sent us extenders and those helped for just three short days before we started having major unreliable Internet access again.

I think Mediacom is the reason that Twitch is buffering at all video qualities. I am getting buffering issues while viewing all Twitch streams, and I know it's not on my end. I have never had this issue before this week, and I lowkey believed it was only because I got a new and better laptop!

Pay for 1 Gigabit, receive 30 Megabit and constant disconnnects...along with no answers and no concern whatsoever from customer service. "Just restart the modem!" didn't help the first three times, it won't help the fourth time!

I really hope so, because I am literally using Nick on the Pluto TV app in place of the actual Nickelodeon feed if needed so far. At least most of the Disney networks are up still., but I wouldn't mind having the other channels back

Most TV channel feeds have been blacked out since Friday night, and those feeds are still dead today. THE ENTIRE WEEKEND at this point. for the HD channels my family has, I counted like 20-30 channels with full playback errors and those SD channels for the HD feeds are also with playback errors

I have lived in several states and countries, and Mediacom is the worst isp I've ever been forced to use. Presently, in my area of South Alabama, they are the only provider of broadband over copper, making them my only option. And boy do they know it. At least once a month we'll have a weekend outage that we're told will last until x time, until that time comes and is updated with y time, usually a round 6 hours later. This will continue until Monday when their employees mosy on in for the week. I have addressed this numerous times with reps by phone, and have been assured each time that they have a team in the field working the issue. Nevertheless, if the internet goes down at 5:01 p.m. on Friday, you can bet your bottom dollar that you won't be using streaming services until Monday afternoon. Don't do business with mediacom unless you have no reasonable alternative, and even then, don't rely on them.

I live in Elgin iowa and ever since the a month ago my internet has been out constantly with at least 300 times in the past 2 weeks. It's a real problem that needs to be fixed. Some people work from home and some are trying to relax after work. Just like other people have said it goes out every 20-40 mins sometimes worst sometimes slightly better. We're going to have to change providers even tho mediacom provides faster internet. Faster internet is useless if there's no internet 90% of the time. I also love how medicom acts like everything is in tip top shape and nothing is ever wrong. Mediacom's slogan should be: "We connect you, eventually." I called customer service and they put me on hold, which was actually the fastest connection I'd had all day. Was Media-com-and-go" a little too on the nose. I have emails arriving with a postage stamp. Mediacom dropping my internet so much my therapist told me it gave me abandonment issues. Please fix it 🙏.

My internet here in Newton Iowa has been acting up ever since the war started now it's down and I know they're changing our building over to a different provider, but that shouldn't affect me I have my own individual account. There's a solid orange light for the second light and some of the green lights aren't even lit up. I know I'm disconnecting May the 3rd but this is not May the 3rd yet it is April 25th.

Strange thing. It was disrupted at exactly 1:00 am Central. Not 1:12, nor 12:36. Exactly 1:00. To me, that sounds like a planned outage. Given our recent hailstorms (plural!) and extremely high winds, I could totally understand a little down-time to make repairs. 1:00 am seems like a reasonable time. But please notify us first.

As of 1:20 am, all my familie's TV signals have gone down, and it's definitely not a coincidence. I know it's not anything with the family plan because everything else is fine and the only thing that is dead is the TV signal. I cannot sleep without TV.

Just so you know. If you get the phone app you can go to contact us then contact by text. If you do that you can tell them that you want reimbursement for the disconnected time reflected on your bill and they’ll reimburse you. Not as great as reliable service but if enough people are doing it mediacom will either have to get their s*** together or go out of business. Their reporting AI is junk but the minute you ask for reimbursement they connect you to a live person. Enjoy and try to remember that they are just hourly employees who don’t control the issues. If you really need to vent get their manager on the phone.

internet issues again in 61326 in Illinois. Constant disconnects, and when it does stay connected the latency is through the roof, as well as extremely slow speeds (pay for 600/30, getting 100/0.50 when it does connect) and severe packet loss. This seems to be an area/town wide issue currently and may even be a regional issue as using another service provider and trying to ping the first few hops of the mediacom servers shows pings and packet loss to and from those hops as well.

3/18/2026 at 6 am at 302 Pleasant Ave, Decorah 52101--we had no internet service. When I came home at 2 pm--still no service. I've been away at the Luther College library using their WIFI to access this Mediacom website. I don't know if at home we now have service... I wonder if this is somehow "our problem" or something outside our home.
