@BinoWulf I think any voting system is subject to manipulation or error, since we rely on counties to count their own ballots. In Colorado, it's not mail voting, but you get a mail ballot and can submit it to a dropbox. In my case, my ballot was lost, so only my in-person vote counts. -

In this specific case, Washington does have a ballot-tracking system. And election officials are already putting out the word that anyone who dropped off their ballot at that dropbox should contact them to be sent a new ballot. -
You can also return your mail-in ballot at a 24-hour county dropbox up to 8 PM on election day. There are drop-boxes located at DeFremery Park and in front of the County Administration Building. -
