Fixed it finally, had to sign in and out of iCloud and battle through some weird moments -
@realpeteyb123 Did you check if your icloud got desynced by chance during the update? Log out and log back in to your Apple ID which will then hopefully fix it. Lmk if that works. And check iCloud Sync option as well as your wifi + network connections. -

@raclinton I use apple notes mostly. some notes make it to obsidian, but for logistical reasons I’ve had to stop - (work cut off iCloud Drive access from work laptop so my obsidian notes don’t sync anymore across devices). -

@elwatto Swift Data worked well for me until I tried to sync it across devices using iCloud - then bugs started appearing everywhere ? I switched to using Firestore in @Pines_App since it handles offline availability + cross device sync for you, and it’s worked great! -

iCloud is an Apple design failure. Complicated, doesn't sync properly, deletes files without warning. I believe Steve Jobs would have either simplified it or eliminated it completely. -

@fboutin No this is just a temporary glitch. Only a few users get it sometimes. It depends on the Apple server you get into. Reboot connection or try rebooting device or logout and login iCloud. -

2/ Turns out, WhatsApp backups are not compatible between Android and iOS. Why? Because Android uses Google Drive, while iOS uses iCloud. Two completely separate worlds, with no bridge in sight. -

Now comes my experience with @AppleSupport in the last one month. Earlier this month, my first visit to an @Apple service centre- I was quite hopeful but the technician there started lecturing me about my storage (ultimately sold iCloud to me) and asked to update software -
Spent 4 hours at the Apple Store and finally fixed my storage issue. The wait was worth it. PS: In case your iCloud isn’t backing up photos properly or is showing a number that doesn’t make sense, back everything up on device to cloud first, reset your phone and restore. -

@SnazzyLabs This is not an issue I have ever heard anyone else have. The emails you get go to your normal iCloud inbox. The list of emails is in System Settings. I love it and I use it all the time -

@SnazzyLabs Are you using an iCloud email or another email to route the “hide my email” fake emails to? From what I’ve seen Apple has a notoriously strict filtering system with their iCloud email so if you’re using that then that may be the issue

Email Issues with iCloud *RESOLVED* The issue has now been resolved & Apple users are receiving Emails ok. Missing enquiries have been sent to all advertisers that use iCloud email, so apart from the four day delay there shouldn't be any problems. -
