@flySFO All of this is based on hundreds of trips, mostly business. Uber/Lyft will also drop you off at Premier Access door. If you're the type to get to the airport 2 hours in advance, you can get there 2 1/2 hours in advance. @reed

It took 32 days from the CE neuropsych eval the SSA ordered, to DDS determination, to FQR. I went back for the WAIS, WMS, and Psychological Exam at 12:30pm, I was in the uber by 1:56pm on November 3rd, it hit FQR on December 5th. I didn't even realize I had cognitive issues.

@shaig Seems easy to fix if Uber cared. Simply set and absolute time limit if 15m. If you can’t get there within 15m you are auto cancelled and fined. Or 30min in rural areas. Not hard to implement

@mikewolf13 In certain cities you can rent a car through the uber/Lyft app and use it to drive. They dont have to pay insurance or pay for any maintenance but it's like $280 a week for the vehicle. Uber/Lyft deducts it directly from your pay. Credit or a downpayment is not a factor.

@nationalrailenq @tfwrail We used the same ticket, however it meant we arrived two and a half hours late to our destination. I don’t understand how this means we can’t have a refund? Being a Sunday this meant all the buses had finished and we had to get an uber home at the cost of £40

Also uber courier service for large items is a joke. Just sign up only folks with trucks if you are going to do large couriers. Otherwise discontinue the service. You clearly aren’t cut out for it

@FudgeTosser @avidseries As of December 2025, based on NHTSA data and reports, fully autonomous vehicles (like Waymo or Cruise) have been blamed for 1 fatality: the 2018 Uber incident in Arizona where the system failed to detect a pedestrian. No further fatalities attributed to them. Semi-autonomous
