Glad I checked this. Mine stopped working around 10pm last night. I had reset router, pc, and phone. Reset the app - couldn't reconnect to phone whatsapp. uninstalled/reinstalled What someone else put -when I connected wo wifi hotspot not my own wifi - I could reconnect it, but as soon as I put it back to wifi - it dropped. I tried different dns too - made no difference. I am with a different ISP to those listed below so its no ISP related or provider. Maybe it will be working again tomorrow - can live in hope.

As of 18:30 on Sat 31st May, PC app still not connecting and has been down 3 days now. (UK, no VPN, Virgin Media) Web version is working.

Had problem for three days now. I have eero mesh routers with a principal SSID and a guest network. Just found app working fine if laptop connects to guest network rather than main one.

Well, I have started my PC up today and WhatsApp logged straight in without using a VPN!

Have had the same issue regarding the Windows app for the past few days, but logging in whilst connected to my phone's hotspot worked immediately for me. Has been working fine ever since, just seems you have to be connected to it to be able to log in for some reason

Their support is beyond awful, the worst thing I have ever had to try and deal with. Just be careful that it doesn't also suddenly log you out of your phone, this happened to me the day after the Windows app issue that everyone is reporting. I haven't been able to log back in at all since. Every time it tries to send me a code to my number to login, it instantly fails and tells me "We couldn't send an SMS to your number. Please check your number and try again in 1 hour". The number is perfectly fine, it is the number I have been logged in with for years right up until they logged me out yesterday. It is infuriating because there is literally no way to contact an actual human to deal with it.
