For some reason, the iCloud website is saying that the words “Saturday” and “December” are misspelled. They are not. There seems to be a glitch that says the words are misspelled when they are entirely in capital letters. @Apple

@first_mccoy @zollotech New iPhone 17 Pro Max that I restored from iCloud backup and updated OTA It had the glitch with system data using over 200GB to where the phone was unusable, couldn’t receive messages, use apps, etc. Had to offload a couple apps and then backup to Mac Reset and restored from Mac

@kippyhippy @auntiedebbb Yea I recommend it. iCloud should be fine and sync with a factory reset. I would reset your router too if you got that message while connected to your home WiFi.

Privacy is also a technical challenge. Local data, iCloud sync, conflict handling, migration across devices. The easy path is collecting everything on a server and solving problems later. The harder path means doing the work upfront.

@oladapo_sh @RileyTBD There's nothing like erase the iCloud too... if you get the iPhone Unavailable, you need to erase the phone and restore it from a backup. You definitely don't erase iCloud itself. Once the phone is reset, you can sign back into iCloud and restore all the data.
