For the last couple of weeks, Alexa has continually shut off, or does not work at all when instructed to play any kind of music on either Pandora or Amazon Music. This also happens with iHeart Radio.

Alexa AI seems to be offline. I came home and my devices were set to the voices I used before switching to Alexa AI. And I have to ask for each piece of information in separate queries. Omg, first world problems, but it makes me aware how much I like Alexa AI. Dealing with Alexa 2014 is nails-on-the-chalkboard annoying.

Memphis 2/20/26- All Alexa devices suddenly can't connect to network. Two other non-Amazon devices that use AWS (Ooma, Litter Robot) have lost connection as well. Been down since 7 or 8 this morning. It'sbeen 5 to 6 hours and I'mstill waiting.

Looks like once again Amazon is having a problem with groups of echo speakers. My groups aren't working, and aren't showing up in the app. However if I try to create a group again with the same name, it tells me I already have that group, without offering any way to modify or delete it. It sure would be nice if tech companies would give more focus to their established functions and back off on the shiny new thing.

Alexa is not adding songs to my playlist. She keeps telling me the song is not playing even while it IS playing. Ex: playing a song I say "Alexa add this song to my playlist" Alexa responds "There is no song playing". Get it together .Amazon!! We pay enough for this service which lately has NOT been working well.

You mean where you select a speaker to group in the APP and all the others grey out and you can't select them? Yes, I get that from time to time and it was bad during the outage two weeks ago. I don't know of a 'fix' exactly, except some combination of patience, restarting the app, or hitting 'rescan' when pairing... Eventually the discrepancy clears and they can be paired again.

Try re-starting your gateway. Gives a temporary solution for a few weeks if you are lucky.

Exactly. It is silent. Same for me. I am in California too. By chance do you have Xfinity as your Internet Carrier? I had to reboot the gateway then the music comes back for a few days then goes off line again. I contacted Xfinity and told them (after many tries.. hahaa). They did a master reset from their end and so far that seemed to have done the trick. Let's see for how long.

Constant problem with speaker groups. Works for a while then the next day just comes back with the Sub Woofer playing only. The other speakers do not play anything. I have had to rebuild the group many times. Sometimes it is the Router. I have had to restart the gateway many times. Lately things have not been reconnecting however. A new problem to solve. Sheesh.

Have you had speakers going off line when you try to make a Speaker set? Like you click on the Sub woofer, then click on one speaker that is on line in the room and it causes all the others to go off line with a network error. No matter which one I choose. But I had other speakers in another room still on line. Won't do me any good if they are not in the same room. I understand your fustration.

I noticed that the Date function is off by one day. I asked Alexa what day is Saturday, it said it was the 7th of November. When it is the 8th. of November.

Echo keeps trying to recalibrate the temperature sensor. Could this be a cloud issue? I have rebooted the device several times and it keeps recalibrating. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here. I have 17 alexa devices for multi-room music. Most rooms have at least one. Some have two. Multi-room music hasn't worked since yesterday. I've tried all the tricks.... resetting, adding/removing devices, grouping/ungrouping etc, which of course won't help at all if the service is down. Currently, I can't even create a group because the device list there is empty. :( All we can do is wait. Does anyone know if there's an 'official' response to this? If it weren't for DownDetector I'd still be tearing my hair out. Thank you OOKLA!!!

Can play music on one Echo device, but none of the pairs are working. I have two separate 2.1 Echo Studio/Subs and one pair of Echo 2nd Gen. So, 6 speakers and two subs. No pairs will work. Totally unacceptable.

Alexa seems to be worse today than yesterday. I have four Echo smart speakers, none work properly. Can't get streaming audio from radio stations, voice control is inoperative (but using the Android app at least let me turn plugs on and off). Before this, the Everywhere group was ignored, now no speaker function at all. I even unplugged all four speakers, plugged back in to reset; still no luck. I'm in Tennessee, near Memphis.

Pittsburgh, PA: Speaker Groups, and Combining devices in stereo, adding speakers to a room all not working. Power cycled, performed resets, de registered and re-added devices, removed pairings and groups, Nothing has worked. The devices say online when viewing them individually or in the main list, but when trying to add them to a. group or pairing them they show offline.

Alexa has been exhibiting weird behavior all day. I activated a radio station on the everything group this morning (playing throughout the house). Later on, I couldn't get it to stop. Finally had to go around the house and unplug every unit. It now follows up on voice commands half the time. I can turn lights on but not off. Then turn lights off but not on. Sometimes it turns a light on then apologizes for not being able to turn the light on.
