San Francisco, CA - Cameras are backup but alarm is not showing in the app as working. Also, I can use history in the phone app, but not on the website. The door and alarm appear to be in home mode though (physical inspection of alarm itself and the pad) I am not going to try to touch the alarm pad itself yet.

To all the budding IT personnel out there. Learn from this mistake. This just goes to show how overreliance of one particular cloud service and not having a backup cloud service can affect your business. The Ring outage is a total failure as they also provide ways to contact emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) to customers and could not for most of the outage. They should have had a backup site on another provider to provide these services. They should be held as responsible as any financial institution would be for an outage like this. Absolute gross incompetence.

My recordings are not playing.

Reset it. There is a small button on the right side. Hold it down until it starts blinking green, then follow the directions in the app. You can also unplug it for 30 seconds then plug it back on and follow the directions on the app. Hope that helps you!!

We’ll, cameras are but but since chime won’t reconnect or reboot (is it fried) one camera remains offline. I tried removing the chime from account but it won’t reset, getting the “something went wrong…” msg. Additionally, bridge won’t reconnect or reboot so connected devices to bridge aren’t working. Everything is down in Sweden. Never had a problem with Ring before. Ring being dependent on ONE supplier (AWS) may not be optimal obviously, very risky.

Maybe if it was Rings outage you might have a worthwhile point but as dozens of other companies tied to AWS are down it’s a moot point. Most companies won’t reimburse you unless it’s been most or all of a day. I’ve had Ring for three years and this is the first time I’ve had an outage. That’s an impressive uptime percentage.

Products like Ring have done a good job of making people feel the need to remotely monitor everything little movement and action that goes on at home. When in reality you really don’t. If you feel the need to watch who is walking by your house maybe it’s time to reconsider how you spend your time.

App is not working in Portland, Oregon. Been checking this for the past 2 hours from 3AM to now 5AM PST. Accessing through ring app on iOS26 with a IPhone 16 Pro Max. Sometimes shows dashboard, but says no my phone has no internet connection and cannot access or control anything. UPDATE: 5:06AM. Seems to be working now, can access recorded scenes now. The point of the Ring products is for security purposes. Especially if you're not at home. Shocking right? So if we're at work and getting alerts on our phone that our cameras are detecting motion but we can't access said cameras, yes it's frustrating. Unlike you, we actually work. We don't get to sit around the nursing home playing bingo and doing arts and crafts while consuming prune juice and tapioca all day like you.

Ring service is down in Birmingham, AL. As others have said, calling support is no help. It is frustrating when you think you have 24/7 security, but then if it was already on, and open a door the police will come. You can go online with your browser, and log in, turn on/off security. That is it.
