So, had ZBook G2 with Advanced Dock for 7-8 years and had no issue ever. Now ZBook G5 with Thunderbolt G2 dock for 8-9 months and external displays blink daily, until plugged 4K monitor back to laptop, and tonight both DisplayPorts on the dock stopped working. Utter junk.

@AmazonHelp I am having recent issues Mainly with my blink 3 outdoor units. If i do a live view (which works for me and records) within 10-60 seconds i get a "motion detected" notification for that camera and it doesn't record such motion. All of my outdoor 3's have also stopped

All during the AWS outage I really didn’t have any issues. A couple of days later features started droppping. Until finally nothing when I tried to access the “New Blink App”. Was able to use my iPad 8 running iPadOS26.1b4, now RC. But can’t login to the App on my Android 14 phone. Since I have lost the Sync2 Module which has been up and running for a couple of years with no problems. I have tried 3 different Modules I have from Beta Testing and a couple subsequent purchases and none of them will go past “Connecting to the Blink Servers” stage where the setup process fails telling me it’s my login or hardware deficiencies that are the problem. “Sorry, NO!” During the setup process the LEDs on the Module light up in the colors and sequences of progress as they should, then . . .

Maine: AWS dependent services have been operational since about 1930 hours yesterday: Monday, October 20th. This includes all Blink cameras, a Cove Home Security system, and an online money management account, Empower Personal Wealth, which depends on AWS for multi-account data aggregation.

AWS outage is mostly resolved, but Blink outage has gotten worse. The only thing that works is live viewing. I’m not notified of new recordings and they don’t show up in the clips list which hasn’t updated since 6 am EDT (NJ). Trying to refresh thumbnails also fails. I have 15 cameras (mix of minis, outdoors and indoors) and no recordings are showing up for any of them.

Maine: Complete Blink system remains offline. Other AWS services also remain offline. Cove Home Security is not connected to the Cove monitoring service. Interesting thing, these services have the appearance of functioning, but deeper dives into their functionality shows otherwise. This could be a much bigger problem than meets the eye.

It's actually a small comfort to know that I haven't been alone with the Blink connection issues. My app shows that the WiFi connection is fine, but it won't update the thumbnails and I've been having a problem connecting at all to my doorbell cam.

Amazon Web Services is having a major outage, so anything powered by them, including Blink cloud services, is being affected by that.

Because that's what the other poster said "tons of sites" I know what AWS is, but we aren't on the sub for AWS. All the other sites worked for me when it was down. Which is why I said wdym "tons of other sites" since I was only experiencing blink being down. I don't use the ones you've mentioned except blink. Amazon was working for me, prime was working, McDonald's, Hulu all working and supposedly on AWS too.

You asked about the "tons of sites that use Amazon," and that was what I answered. To get more specific, Signal, Snapchat, Ring, NYT, Fortnite, Roblox, Blink, etc. have all been down for hours due to the AWS outage. The Amazon website and AWS aren't the same thing. Their website is likely hosted primarily on AWS West due to where Amazon is headquartered, so yeah, the site itself may be fine, but anyone hosted out of the East-1 region fully or partially experienced issues. The NYT games like Wordle will let you play but can't access user accounts to accurately log the progress. People can't log into specific games, or if they manage to get that far, can't access the servers for the maps or be matched up for team play. It's a huge outage.

Make sure your new ones don't use AWS for their cloud storage or app hosting. That's the current issue, not Blink itself. The actual host is down, impacting a huge number of applications and businesses currently. Multiple camera brands use AWS for their hosting, so Ring is also down right now, for example.

Amazon owns AWS. It's one of the largest, if not THE largest, cloud hosting platforms globally. Amazon also owns Blink, so it's naturally hosted on AWS. Tons of company infrastructures are fully cloud hosted, so with Amazon-US-East-1 currently down, it's way bigger than a Blink outage.
