Google fiber down since around 1:30pm 7/6/2026. First estimated time of repair 8:30pm, now it changed to midnight. No email was sent nor text. Had to go to the gfiber outage website and put in my address, to learn there was a problem. Bad communication on Google's part. Zipcode 27511 NC.

SLC down since midnight, 4/29. Couldn't get chat support but that's probably because they're busy due to the outage.

Constantly going down almost daily after major outage happened in Marietta, GA

Shawn Chronister (Questionable

So KCK is currently suffering from a gfiber outage and usually DD is place to come to find this out must be a little slow this morning.

Cesar S

Was down in Marietta GA since Friday morning. Back briefly Saturday night, now down again (sunday) so just the news of Gfiber being sold to a PE firm already set the universe in motion to what garbage Gfiber will become under vulture capitalists

Zoe

Is the service back in SF?

Allen Ellison

1. No service in SF today (had it for two years previously) 2. Using my email and my phone number their automated systems say I don’t have an account 3. When I say I want to create a new account and provide my zip code (94103) it says that Google Fiber is not ready in my area. Wtf?

Day 9. @googlefiber finally fixed my issue. several phone calls, supervisor, executive team and they got me back up. Thousands of $$$ lost, major impact to my family, and spending unnecessarily just to have some sort of service to connect [read Below]

The way @googlefiber Handles Conflict Is Crazy To Have An Outage For 2 Days With No Notification Is Horrible

@googlefiber DAY 9. No internet. Dozens of calls later, 8 escalations and still no resolve. One of the worst customer services experience. #googlefail

GalPAfik

@googlefiber I've had intermittent connectivity for a week. Your field tech confirmed it's a known provisioning issue on your end affecting multiple customers. FCC complaint filed. I need actual resolution, not conflicting excuses.

Day 6 of no internet from @googlefiber and no updates or info, just leaving their customers completely in the dark.

Outage in Morrisville Outage alert You may be experiencing an outage. A crew is already working on making repairs. We'll update you as soon as it's fixed.

@googlefiber @googlefiberhelp My service has been down for more than 12 hours due to an outage I was told would be resolved within 4 hours. Could you at least provide an update on when the issue will be resolved #GoogleFiber

Harrison Frost

Is anyone else in south austin experiencing extremely slow speeds? I have 2gb fiber and I'm getting 3mbps download and 15 up... I can't even play games.

Ringneck85

@googlefiber is the worst. We have a complete outage and can’t get a hold of a US based support rep to help. Keep getting people in India that can’t/wont help. ACES team doesn’t answer calls either. What am I paying for?

health_w_wealth

@googlefiber 2 nights in a row without internet due to outrage in your area here in Austin. We have an issue at least once a month. I thought @googlefiber was reliable…

DocRedEyeKC

Anyone else find it impossible to get @googlefiber to fix your service ??? 4 days no internet and nothing but lies and jumping thru hoops. This is unbelievable

@googlefiber I understand and appreciate that but if it comes back on when the website say then I’ll be out of internet for over 10 hours and I’ll get 1.19 knocked off my bill. Makes it awfully difficult for anyone who works from home. I just wann know why.

Google Fiber Outage in Glenwood North in Raleigh

La Matrix

It fulfills its function of providing internet but the signal and speed are not good.

Mike McGregor

Google fiber down in Lees Summit near Kansas City. 12 hours and counting… they are aware. Any idea how many affected?

Dark

not to mention, have only been getting 3 out of 5 bars of wifi connection, signaling okay AT BEST signal strength, for like, the last 2 or 3 months. i should be getting full bars, its what i pay 150 a month for. sheesh.

Dark

was connected one second, then at 7am exactly, the router disappeared from my list of available networks, checked google fiber, says everythings fine. cant figure out how it just vanished though.

Joseph Mather

there's been an outage with intermittent connectivity in WDM (near Super Target on Mills Civic Pkwy) since Friday, August 1st. So frustrating for those of us who work from home.

Dana

No Internet in Liberty, MO.

Neisha____

@googlefiber is terrible !!!! My second apartment trying them in and their technicians don’t know what they’re doing ! You will not have service if you go with them . My equipment arrived Monday and SEVEN days and four techs later it’s still not working!

Street_Crtified

@googlefiber are you experiencing a service issue in KC?

Joey Smith

Google predicts recovery by 8:02pm local time

moditejasd

@googlefiber Internet is down for past 3 days (KCMO). Apparently net being unavailable for 3 days is not enough to hit their Severity 1 issue. I understand typical apologies but someone higher up the chain needs to act ASAP.

IDIOTSANDWICH

I should be sleeping, but the Internet is down.

MomOnTheFly

@googlefiber what is the status of the outage in Austin at 78727 zip code ?

itsmefullbleed

@googlefiber why does posting on your subreddit get me faster customer service than calling? I've had my issue escalated like 8 times now with no fix. Maybe you guys respond faster here too?

Timothy Gulics

Tech replaced the ONT, "best, quickest fix" ... back up and running.

Timothy Gulics

So... a persisting issue apparently? Outage message is still up and I'm still down.

SKhandrika2001

@googlefiber The Internet is slow at our house 18727 Needle Rock San Antonio TX 78258 and what can be the problem and please fix it as soon as possible. Thank You! Sincerely, Saagar Khandrika

ShaqMaadWolf

@googlefiber at least in San Antonio is HORRIBLE Only had the 2G plan for 3 months and it feels like there’s some type of “outage” every week

Patrick Q

I wouldn't say it's an outage, but def affecting download speeds. Outbound, the speeds are fine, inbound (download), it's bad. Normally, I'm testing at 900MB down/900MB up, but now I'm at 1.3MB down/70MB up.

MeSingNo

The outage search just confirmed said outage LAAAAAAME

MeSingNo

So im not crazy and its not me, great

Patrick Q

Roger that. Trace to the local provider is fine, but if you leave San Antonio, EVERYTHING is slow and pings are high. I'm sure it's a routing issue coming out of Google's end, routing loop somewhere...lol.

Abstracteddisaster

Really high ping right now and slow internet

GenieAIWishes

@googlefiber Ok I sent a DM for me still having issues with the service.

Douglas Seal

Google fiber down since 1AM AND NOT EXPECTED UP TIL 6PM. WHY? THEY NEVER PROVIDE WHY OR WHERE THE PROBLEM IS. 5/11/2025.

GaryRaba

@SpectrumSan What gives with your service these days? Intermittent outages from 30sec to 4 mins routinely throughout each and every day. @googlefiber doesn’t do that. 78232 for both. #whatswrongwithspecrtum #canigetwhatipayfor

ray_leii

@googlefiber Bad customer service, specially the supervisor who called me saying that credit me $2 ! The service was down more than 3 hours and woke up my baby. I relied on the internet to play sleeping music. I also needed to awake and check on the service status. Totally messed up my day.

Dylan

Outage for sure

MaddiePlays2YT

@googlefiber did y'all have a outage in Salt Lake City?

brad burnett

@Google Whatever you just unplugged... Plug it back in haha

pirrkz

is there an outage?

NHRASuperFan

I haven’t had any customer service issues with @sparklightcares in regards to phone calls with them, but speeds and outages definitely. I’m switching to @googlefiber . Looking out my front door I counted 6 neighbors that have switched or will be doing so very soon . FIBER/cable

lukefs

@googlefiber I am unable tos end you a DM since I don’t pay.

rutbustertx

@googlefiber was stoked to get connected now I’m sitting for more than 3 hrs without service. Website says they don’t have any information about outage #notcool

@googlefiber service has been down on the East side of Austin since 8:51am, zero updates on issue or status or ETA on when service will be back running. This is unacceptable and very disappointing.

Google fiber down at my place in Apex, NC. Google Fiber help desk telling me there is no outage in the area. Hmmm. Digging for another new fiber service in my yard. Not sure how they would only take down my connection.

Nigel_Croston

An outage on championship Sunday @googlefiber?? ????

DebraMi33234345

A tech has been here on 4 different occasions and they can’t seem to find the issue. Everything is streamed now and we’re SOL. @googlefiber , y’all need to do better especially when folks work from home. We will be canceling this service and will find another provider.

ctomberlin01

Hi @googlefiberhelp @googlefiber - your chat feature is “unavailable,” I’ve submitted 2 contact forms and called repeatedly 5 different multi-hour long “service outages” in less than a week is unacceptable I work from home. This is my livelihood. I regret making the switch

Jonathan Chandler

Google fiber has been out since early this morning. Current estimate is 4:30pm.

SlickBenoit4

@googlefiber 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND. 24 HRS LATER, NO INTERNET SERVICE. NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE OR TAKING ANY MEANINGFUL ACTIONS TO RESTORE MY SERVICE. GFIBER IS NOT WORTH IT.

Ms_Touchshriek

@googlefiber still no Internet: day 3. Outage map still inaccurate. @googlefiberhelp #WTF

Ms_Touchshriek

#googlefiberoutage #GoogleFiber #Outage #GoogleFiberOutage2024 Google doesn't want you to know about the outage in Raleigh. Internet down for over 24 hours. Outage maps lie and claim there are no issues on their end. Customer service says otherwise: 7200 customers w/o internet

moni_anne

@googlefiber Happens all the time @googlefiber there’s is even an outage now. Now I have to go into the office… thanks

PT

The outage started for us and a few other neighbors (Timber Trails, Raymore, MO 64083) 2 days ago, the ETA has been pushed back 5 times as of this message, and we had to enter a chat through GFiber each time just to get updates about the ETA as we have no information regarding the ETA otherwise. I work from home and this has significantly impacted my work. It's been absolutely maddening especially because neither this website nor istheservicedown ever showed any issues over the last 2 days. Going into day 3 I can only hope we are not getting de-prioritized just because there's not as widespread of an issue in our neighborhood.,

CRollN

@googlefiber Thanks but that doesn’t really help. Your company has threatened to disconnect my aunts internet however she can’t make a payment because you won’t take it over the phone. I guess technically challenged people don’t matter to Google fiber.

@anna_l33s @googlefiber And yet when I go to their outage reporter it says everything is good on their end ?

Skalonyde

Anyone else having issues with @googlefiber currently?

@anna_l33s @googlefiber West Jordan having problems too.

anna_l33s

Anyone else in the SLC area having issues with their @googlefiber ? Interrupted my binge watching of The X Files ??

vyrotek

@googlefiber Hey. Mind fixing the outage in Mesa? ?

FortThrowsPetey

@googlefiber Your speeds are great but I have had interruption in service 4 to 5 times a day for the last 5 days and can’t get an answer as to why or a fix. Working from home as a programmer is difficult without consistent service.

chelzie

Thankful for unlimited Verizon cellular data on the days when @coxcomm has nationwide routing issues and can’t get their ? together. I hope @googlefiber has service in my area soon.

Jake Helsel

Latency issues right now?

Jesskhayes

@googlefiber why is there an outage in my neighborhood that won’t be resolved for the next 3 hours? :(

MELONLORD324

@KingOfDaMisFits @googlefiber So google fiber does have an outage my internet is acting really slow today or just keeps resetting idk if it’s still happening on your guys end but it started earlier this morning for me

@KingOfDaMisFits @googlefiber Google Fiber is out too? Spectrum has been out all day with no ETA for restoration either

Dana

Down north of KC since early this morning. No ETA for a fix. Frustrating.

@ATT 72 hours...still no change. Y'all cannot fix an outage, it's a working week. Just trying to give niceties on DM's. Nothing less than horrible. Definitely will be moving to @googlefiber

Bots are offline due to a @GoogleFiber outage. We will provide more updates as they become available. We are also actively looking into alternatives as GFiber has shown that they are unable or unwilling to adress the numerous issues we've had with them.
