I won't ask to lower guardrails, but Gemini needs proper refinement of biases that interfere with both user and company. Playing safe is one thing, but they are playing *too* safe. You'd think they would improve, but that quality they improved is not enough to satisfy users. Sycophancy, fabrication, glue on the pizza type of output, softening and etc. These absolutely need to go. In their place, accuracy, determinism (not as undermining creativity, but as directing said creativity to not be random or generate wrong thing, from body parts to entire body), thuth-seeking, factual and honest. This applies to low stakes and high stakes alike. If any part of the output is truncated, it means Gemini is not doing whaty it should. The problem is that we want an AI to be sycophantic, never an honest one. That led to this current state of affairs. It can generate harmful content; mistake context of input and, in response, not complying — it can mistake benign/sfw for dangerous or inappropriate when it's only sfw and safe; needlessly summarize; and can mislead user, regardless if it's accidental or not. The guardrails neef refinement so any user altogether can use the AI safely and withh proper trust. For that, the entire RLHF need an overhaul and change its training. That will align the policy of helpful ai.

And how broken it is. If it had same attributes as Claude, when it comes to output quality and prose, Gemini would be better than it is now. Right now, Google needs to get their act together.

I got a issue where the Gemini-Cli is not responding back on any questions even if these are very easy to be processed. A simple question last time took over an hour. I the stats that 2.5-flash was reporting 100% errors. So i switched to a other model still the same issue. Reinstalled the client and even took the preview version now, again the same issue. Currently the Gemini-Cli is unusable due to this, as i do not want to wait 30 min to a hour for getting a response if you get one at all. For the last hours it worked fast and flawlessly. I have enough usage left still, but it simply refuses to respond

Gemini is failing to comprehend and remember simple prompts. It continuously tried editing a narrative in the Markdown even when not prompted to. Instead of adding to the narratives, as plainly instructed, it deletes and replaces huge blocks of text.
