Been away with friends all afternoon. Checked Down Detector while gone, and saw that things appeared to be returning to normal in Houston. Got home a few minutes ago, and all is good again. Too soon to throw a party, though. Holding out until I see what the morning brings.

San Diego CA here. Changing my DNS for IPv4 (learning new things) to 1.1.1.1 brought back google for me. Able to get to docs, gmail and YT is running better. Also tried to log into AT&T before and after DNS change and site cannot be reached at all.

San Diego, California. All Google Services apart from Youtube are down for me using AT&T Home wifi (no fiber.) Set my DNS server to 1.1.1.1, and 1.0.0.1 working again. Hoping Google and AT&T and figure something out, or else it will be pain to see the schools suffering after Labor Day.

Same issue Cypress Tx personally hate At&t forced to use them wish I could go back to Xfinity. Use a VPN or use your phone as a hotspot. Firefox seems to be ok it's only Google and Edge on my end.

Yep. Just went down again in The Woodlands, TX (Houston). I know nothing about VPNs. Someone, somewhere (maybe here) said changing the router to a fixed DNS mode corrected the issue as well - primary 1.1.1.1 / secondary I've forgotten. I may try that.

6:30 am - Google apps from PC not accessible. Message: "Can't seem to load the app launcher right now. Try again or go to the Google Products page." Google Products page just spins and never displays apps. First noticed when Google Home devices did not display time and temp. All other websites from PC are accessible. Glad I checked in again an found there are many valid issues with Google.

all you need to do is put manual DNS Primary: 1.1.1.1 Secondary 1.0.0.1 remember to change it back later

I've had issues today using my AT&T fiber connecting to gmail. VPN and proxy both allowed me in. Connected to office that has Comcast and was able to login from there no problem.

I have AT&T also. I called them and they verified that my gateway was up and working, wi-fi was connected to Roku. So I think this is a totally Google problem.

When I contacted AT&T earlier, AT&T reported that Google was aware that they had an issue and they were working to resolve it. AT&T Tech had no Google incident Number or dashboard to pass along, and no overall AT&T incident number, other than both parties were aware and working to resolve issue. Setting DNS to use something other than AT&T resolved some of my issues (set to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 but not all of my devices i.e. Rokus can manually set DNS) but until I used a VPN, some applications (Discord, Chrome, etc) still had issues on PC. Some set top boxes (Apple TV, et al) can use VPNs as well.

Southeast Texas here: Just had 3 clients (both PC-using Outlook and Apple using Mac Mail and Mac OS) also errors on iOS with iPhone, too) say they also can not get into any Google Services. I tried Chrome and Edge to no avail. Mozilla Firefox works as a workaround for now.

I have to believe that Google is very aware of this. DownDetector is not some off the wall, insignificant source of public feedback for them. Although Google does NOT want to interact directly with individual users, they most certainly know that this sort of negative feedback affects them broadly. It's all reputational, which impacts share value, which gets their immediate attention.

I think you may be right - if I switch to a VPN many of these problems stop for some reason. Even seemed to have affected my Disqus login here which couldn't show the CAPTCHA until I switched to the VPN. Also had problems this afternoon with Earthlilnk email until I tried the VPN.

One more share - Chrome seems unable to complete DNS resolution. No matter what search I perform using Chrome, it will produce limited results, but won't fully complete. No error messages, though.

I just got done talking to an agent on the phone. My router is fine, there is no issues with the AT&T services in my area, every website I've checked works perfectly fine on my PC, laptop, and phone. The only things I have issues with is all google services; Youtube, Gmail, etc. This is 100% on Google.

ATT Fiber is supposedly having DNS issues, on devices where you can switch DNS it should resolve the issue. Hopefully ATT fixes it soon. It's wreaking havoc on my home automation.

Use a VPN takes a few seconds but once you're connected it moves quick Google Chrome and Edge however if you use Firefox works no issues no VPN needed for Firefox.

The Woodlands, Tx. Chrome won't load web sites. Yahoo mail also won't load. Both YouTube and YouTube TV are very slow to respond. Been going on since about 6:30 a.m. BTW, FireFox works pretty well, but doesn't want to play nice with YouTube. This is clearly a Google issue.

Got up this morning. Samsung TV Youtube and youtube tv has Chinese icons, but rest is in English. Previews won't load. Went to app on my phone. Tried updating and Google Play says it's not connected to internet. I know it is. I think it's a Google problem, not just YouTube, all other apps are working.
